November 1st marked the firms one-year anniversary since the merger of Arcline Studio and Arie Kohn Architects. Since the merger in 2019, owner and Principal Architect, Robert Zappulla, has continued to expand the firms range of services and client base while continuing to provide the high level of service clients of Arcline Studio and Arie Kohn have come to expect.
While many companies experienced a decline in business and a reduction in workforce in 2020, the firm’s ability to provide innovative solutions for its clients in the wake of a global pandemic, set the firm apart from other firms. In 2020 alone, AKA Studio experienced over 200% growth in staff and architectural services with new projects in all sectors. Specifically, AKA Studio experienced significant growth in the Restaurant, Mixed-Use retail and Commercial sectors.
Over the last 12 months, experienced Licensed Architects, Interior Designers and key staff members have joined the firm to help manage its growing customer and project base. New members of the firm include: Architects, Eric Phan, Namtip Chareonchit, Yara Rymer and Mitchell McGregor; Project Coordinator Hyojae Lee; Interior Designer Brittany Compton; and additionally, Jenna Farris & Lee Benhayon joined AKA Studio to support the Director of Operations, Chris Novak.
