November 1st marked the firm’s two, yes TWO-Year anniversary since the merger of Arcline Studio and Arie Kohn Architects to create AKA Studio, P.C.
Since 2019, owner and Principal Architect, Robert Zappulla, has grown the firm from just 5 employees to now 13 – with plans to grow staff and expand the breadth of the firm’s offerings as new work continues to flow into the firm. New employees added over the last year includeNupur Dudeja, Interior Design Project Coordinator, Diarra Freeman, Administrative Assistant, David Hachikian, Project Manager, and Melissa Zappulla, Director of HR.
AKA Studio quickly outgrew their original office space in Roswell early in 2020 prior to the pandemic and has been a remote firm since. AKA plans to move into a new office space in Alpharetta with a December 2021 move-in date. The new state of the art office is large enough for over 30 employees foreshadowing ownership’s vision of what is to come.
AKA Studio’s business was affected like most from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, yet the firm continued to grow in 2020 and in 2021; it has seen strong, steady, substantial growth and success in mixed-use, retail, restaurant, and commercial projects, with the completion of almost 200 projects since 2019.
AKA Studio, P.C. prides itself on creating a unique user experience within each project while the dedication and extensive experience of AKA’s talented staff has resulted in a reputation of superior client service. Keeping these values at the forefront of daily operations has been key to the firm’s great growth and success through 2021 – a trend that AKA looks forward to continuing in 2022!
